How many sessions do I need?

Just one session of hypnotherapy is often enough to change a habit
"If anyone is in two minds whether to book an appointment, |
Take back controlIt's a pattern-led habit. You don't even realise you're doing it half the time, it's autopilot behaviour. With hypnotherapy we can work together to change the pattern, identifying triggers and finding alternatives enabling you to take back control. And you'll be surprised how easy it can be.
"I had a very real experience and would definitely recommend” |
How habits developA habit is an unconscious response to a particular trigger. A habit begins with a very conscious action, something we choose from many available options because we think it could be useful in a particular situation. If it does help, or we still believe it could, we repeat it the next time. If we repeat something the same way several times, our subconscious takes over to save us having to think about it and so it becomes an automatic behaviour.
If you drive, think back to when you first started. You were very conscious of every action, as you learned what to do. After a while, you stopped thinking about it and now you probably aren't even aware of changing gears, indicating, checking mirrors. It's automatic. |
